David Darr

It could be said that it began with the blowing of some fuses in the basement of the family home. It somehow seems fitting that the same 10-year-old boy with a love of gadgets and limitless curiosity would grow up to be president of his own company. That would be David Darr, whose computer and electronic credentials started building as a youth and haven't stopped yet.
A fifth generation Vermonter and grandson of a sound engineer for CBS, David has electronics in his genes; he's been a contract engineer at IBM, GTE and several other firms, designing automatic testers and creating hardware and software solutions far and wide, from Seattle and the Caribbean to Waitsfield, Vermont. All of this came after a stint in the Navy, where he received training in electronics in the nuclear program in 1979.
Finally landing back in Vermont, he headed the service department, repairing Macintosh computers, for the now defunct Maya Computer Co. It was a job he couldn't let go because Maya's old customers sought David out to keep their machines in tip-top running order. That's how Darrad began, at David's kitchen table.
Now Darrad is a full-service computer company whose emphasis is always providing practical solutions to your computer problems.
